In the Memory of my Brother, Billy Chambers, He was born on August 9th, 1947, and died on February 6th, 2005,
He married after graduating from McAlester High School, McAlester, Ok. to Dian Bell.
They had 3 children, Raymond, Jerry and Becky.
Bill drove for UPS for 28 years. When he first started driving for them, it was a city delivery truck.
Then he bid on a tractor/trailer run, LOL and the funny part of this is he didnt know how to
back up a semi truck and trailer.
I told him to go to my house and pickup my boat, take it home and practice at the mall or
any place that had painted striped lots.
And yes he did learn how to back up and 28 years later he was still driving, even when he was
so sick he should have been at home.
It was so bad at times his fellow workers helped him hookup his trailers and unhook them.
There was times his wife and kids would pick him up on the road because he couldn't complete the run.
But he just wouldn't give up, Bill loved Life and his Family and Friends.
Bill was a Minister, and he loved God and His Church, and he loved helping people in need.
There was a little story on his Funeral Service Card and I want to share it with you..
God saw he was getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms Around him
And Whispered, "Come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched him
suffer and saw him pass away
And though we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay,
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to
us He only takes the best.......
Bill was 8 year older than my self and 12 years older
Than my little brother, Max and for the most part
He was around when we needed him.
You are Loved and Missed .....
This song is for You Billy
