About Me
In 1979 I started driving cross country. In 1999, I was awarded by the State of Oklahoma with a Million Mile Award. To date, I am at 3 million miles with no accidents and counting. I am a devoted family man who loves to hunt and fish. In fact, I would rather fish than eat or sleep, especially with my son who lives in Hattiesburg Ms. LOL. True story! I like to spend my days off at home and with my family. I am passionate about children, and homeless people, and do whatever I can to help. I am married, have one son and two step-daughters. I have ten grandchildren, the youngest at 18 months old. My wife rides on the truck with me. We live 5 miles south of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Home of Holloman Air Force Base, and White Sands National Monument.

Times Have Changed For Truck Drivers
It is amazing how much Truck Driving has changed in 30 years.
When I started truck driving, I had a pillow, blanket, CB radio, pad and pen, and a quarter for the phone to call my dispatcher.
Now days they have QUAL COM'S, which are similar to LAPTOPS. QUAL COM'S are a direct communications to your dispatch,
they track you and your shipment. Truck drivers carry CELL PHONES to call home, and to call shippers and receivers.
They also carry LAPTOPS as a source of GPS, to use for routing to and from shippers and receivers.
We now also have POWER INVERTERS. These are boxes that are hooked to a 12 volt system, that convert to 110 volts.
These are used for REFRIGERATOR'S, TELEVISIONS, MICROWAVES, OVENS, GAME STATIONS, and DISH NET WORK.
Some of the fancier rigs have RV SHOWERS, PORT-A-POTTY'S , STUDIO SLEEPERS,
and RV COLEMAN A/C- HEATERS, and even GENERATORS and GPS SYSTEMS
It's almost like a home away from home. LOL not really, but it's a lot better that 30 years ago.
Believe it or not, the Interstate System wasnt even complete when I started driving.
I40 West of Amarillo, wasn't complete to nearly Tucumcari NM, and you had to drive right through the city of Gallup NM,
West of Flagstaff AZ to Williams AZ to about 50 or 60 miles East of Kingman AZ.
We used the ol' 66 highway.
Things have changed a lot, even our attitude, and some not for the good.
But for the most part, its still an ok job.
Things could be better, like the pay and the benefits, and even the way some states treat us.
Some states are not Trucker Friendly at all, but there are ways around that too, just dont go there, lol.
This site was designed by a truck driver, for truck drivers , to find services that are needed on the road.
To find truck stops in the areas you are in. To find good places to eat that are truck accessible.
As many of us know, who have been driving a few years, most truck stops are just tourist traps and really don't have the truck drivers interest at heart.
